What is the QuickLift Facelift?
The QuickLift Facelift is a minimally-invasive procedure that addresses visible signs of aging in the lower region of the face. This procedure focuses on tightening the jowls, defining the jawline, lifting and defining the cheeks, and smoothing the neckline for natural-looking results.
Unlike other types of facelift techniques, the QuickLift technique suspends underlying structures of the lower face, also known as the SMAS, offering a younger look for years to come.
This procedure is ideal for men and women who wish to achieve a more youthful and refreshed look. Many individuals chose the QuickLift Facelift because they are not yet ready to undergo a full facelift. Ideal candidates will be healthy, nonsmokers with realistic expectations for the outcome of their procedure.
During this procedure, a small “S” shaped incision is created along the sideburn, extending along the tragus of the ear, around the earlobe, and up towards the hairline. Incisions are meticulously placed so that scarring is inconspicuous when healed. Then, underlying connective tissues are gently lifted and tightened using a purse-string suture technique. The surgeon eventually anchors the soft tissue of the cheek to the bone. Any excess skin is the removed. In some cases, a submental tuck may also be performed to enhance the appearance of the upper neck.
As a fairly painless procedure, the QuickLift Facelift requires a relatively short recovery time, with most people able to return to work in a couple of days. However, because the QuickLift is customized to each patient, the recovery period may vary. Any discomfort can be controlled with pain medication, and bruising can be covered with makeup after about three days. Patients are encouraged to sleep with their heads elevated during the first week to help minimize swelling.
