More and more we see patients coming in requesting brachioplasty or arm lifts. Usually these are people who have undergone bariatric surgery and have lost considerable weight – some as much as 150 pounds or more. Major complications occurred in 3/4 % of brachioplasties with infection (1.7)% and hematoma (1.1%) being the most common. This complication rate is much lower than previously reported.
