Philosophy

Dr. Brueck's philosophy of cosmetic surgery and patient care.

“I have been blessed to practice plastic surgery for almost 30 years. After finishing my plastic surgery residency, I undertook a cosmetic surgery fellowship with two of the most respected names in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Thomas Baker and Dr. Howard Gordon. “I was asked ‘why cosmetic surgery?’ To me it represents the ultimate challenge. People fully expect 100% of the time to look better. There is no margin for error.

“As the years have passed I have gained greater appreciation for the experience. There is no substitute for experience when it comes to cosmetic surgery.

“Because I have that needed experience I enjoy what I do today even more. When I do a cosmetic surgery procedure, I am not only performing a physical act, but also helping to restore a person’s self-image, their self-esteem.

"What a great combination.

"When they come in to see me, I promise all my patients two things. First and foremost, total honesty. I explain all the various procedures as well as complications. It is not meant to scare or discourage people but to educate and inform.

"Secondly, I assure them I would never do a procedure on a patient that I would not do on my own family.

“For many years, I did not do Botox because I had concerns about its safety. But now I do it, because my concerns have been addressed. Patient safety has and always will be my number one priority. There is no compromise.

"The new technology in plastic surgery is changing ever so rapidly. I have always taken the stance to not necessarily be the first one on the block with a new machine or laser, but to be the BEST. This can only be achieved by careful study, analysis, blended with almost 30 years of experience.”
